IOC International Athletes’ Forum

Dear athletes, dear friends,

On behalf of the IOC Athletes’ Commission, I am delighted to share some important information with you ahead of your arrival in Lausanne for the 8th IOC International Athletes’ Forum!

During the Forum, athlete representatives will come together from International Federations, the Association of National Olympic Committees, Organising Committees of the Olympic Games, the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Paralympic Committee. As you may already know, the IOC Athletes’ Commission have been developing a strategy and we are excited to share this in more detail with you at the Forum. We will also take this opportunity to discuss athlete issues such as anti-doping and this important topic will be a large focus during the forum. Over the three days we will host a variety of workshops and interactive sessions which we hope will prompt insightful and productive discussions on the key topics impacting athletes within the Olympic Movement today.

Before your arrival in Lausanne, I urge you to familiarise yourself with the Olympic Athletes’ Hub website, including the relevant resources and documents available to you as athlete representatives. Your feedback on these will be greatly valued during the Forum, as we look to strengthen the support to help make Athletes’ Commissions around the world as active and effective as possible. Within this area, you can also find the draft programme which will give you an insight into what to expect and how to prepare.

Looking forward to seeing you for the welcome festivities on 10 November.

In Olympic Spirit,

IOC Athletes’ Commission Chair
