WHAT IS YOG?

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) bring together young athletes (15-18 years old) from all over the world at a high-level multi-sports event with both Winter and Summer editions.

The event is in line with young athletes’ long-term development by helping them to acquire sport and life skills to become better athletes and better individuals. During the YOG, they have the opportunity to share their experiences with their peers and to discover the benefits of the Olympic values.

Local youth can watch the competitions and be active trying out new sports, meeting inspiring role models and enjoying cultural activities in a sports festival.

Beyond the event, young athletes can follow the latest inspiring stories on social media and digital platforms such as the Olympic Channel.
